Happy Fourth!

For Daddies in Heaven
If roses grow in Heaven, Lord, pick a bunch for me
Place them in my Daddy’s arms and tell him they’re from me
Tell him that I love and miss him, and when he turns to smile,
Place a kiss upon his cheek and hold him for awhile
Remembering him is easy, I do it everyday.
There’s an ache within my heart that will never go away.
Happy Father’s Day, Daddy!
CMA Week
This week is big time for Nashville. CMA week brings in a ton of country music artists for concerts and fan club meetings. There are free shows and activities downtown during the day, and then each night there is a big concert at the Titans stadium with all the major acts. I would love to see Carrie Underwood perform live – that is my goal this week.
Happy Birthday Reen!
My grandmother is celebrating her birthday today. I have so many great memories of summers spent with my grandmother. I always thought it was unfair that her birthday was in February, because I never get to see her in February and share the birthday celebration with her.
Nana Reen has a wonderful cabin on the River in Virginia. It is small enough that she can handle it on her own, as far as cleaning and routine maintenance. But it is large enough that a family can come for a weekend visit have be able to have use of two guest rooms with real beds. No sleeping on the couch or on the floor just for the sake of staying overnight with a relative.
Love you, Nana Reen – hope you have a fabulous day on your birthday and that we spring comes early so I can see you again real soon!
Love and Chocolates

It’s really cool to have a holiday dedicated to love. So many other days are dedicated to births and deaths, but Valentine’s Day is dedicated to the love that makes it all happen. even people who have been a long time married couple appreciate the excuse to express their love to each other. This is one of my favorite holidays – it is all things good: love, chocolates, red roses, lingerie, a nice dinner out at a restaurant. Good things!
